Well, before we know it, it’s another year with Santa.

     We have been doing Santa Pictures ever since we opened way back in 1982. Wow, that a lot of little kids.  We decided at the beginning to give each kid the very best experience possible with Santa, let them take their time.

     Some of our best memories are centered around these pictures. Many people have come back year after year. They have put the photos in an album and it is exciting to see how they have grown over the years. For reasons I don’t understand, they always get the most delight with the ones where they are crying!

     One of the most challenging parts of all of this is finding a good fella to play Santa. Boy, talk about a long list of qualifications. I think that some are born to play the part, and our current Santa - John -  fits the bill perfectly. When we first interviewed him, we had our doubts, as he isn’t the biggest fella in the world. It turns out that kids really responded to him, he has a very gentle soul and doesn’t scare them. In the end, it was the kids who chose him, and I have to agree!

     We are having the ornaments again this year. They were very popular last year. I wish they were available when my kids were growing up, because the get more precious every year.
